Snider Tire can refurbish your rims and wheels using a powder coat system. With this system, we can apply any color and bake it on, producing a finish that looks brand new. During the reconditioning process, our highly trained technicians inspect for signs of wear and tear, which could create an unsafe condition on your vehicle. Once refurbished, these rims and wheels will significantly improve the looks of your vehicle and enhance the image of your company. This service is available through all of the Snider Tire locations.

Preparation and Cleaning

Rims and wheels coming into our facilities are placed into a machine and blasted with small steel shot and abrasive grit, thereby removing any dirt, grease, and most importantly the old paint. This is where we inspect the wheel for safety problems.

Powder Paint Application

Rims and wheels are coated with powdered paint, which clings to the metal surface via an electrostatic charge. Keeping to industry standards of 3 mils thick, our high quality paint covers the entire wheel in your color of choice.

Curing and Finished Product

After curing in a specially designed catalyst gas oven for approximately 15 minutes, the powder transforms into a durable, shiny, permanent finish. Request more information about our rim and wheel refurbishing processes.
