About Us
Snider Tire, Inc. (STI) was founded in 1976 when
John H. Snider purchased General Tire Service, a local dealer
in Greensboro, North Carolina. STI originally offered
a variety of products and services including car tires,
new truck tires, off-the-road tires, and retread truck tires, and has evolved into one of the largest commercial
tire dealers and retreaders in the United States. We
currently operate 6 manufacturing facilities [with one under construction], 45 commercial and/or mechanical service
locations and have over 800 employees located in ten states.
With our strategically located plants, we can effectively
service your locations in approximately thirty states. STI
is recognized as an industry leader in providing innovative
outsourcing alternatives to large, multi-location trucking
fleets. In an effort to maintain this leadership position,
STI has an ongoing recruiting and training program to attract
and retain the most qualified people available. Additionally,
we continue to invest in our facilities, manufacturing equipment,
vehicles, and information technology.
